Networked Communication Systems for the Tactical Warfighter
While with L3Harris I sold secure tactical communication solutions across the DoD to all of the services and combatant commands. The applications included Communication Relays, Close Air Support, Dismounted Soldier support, and others.
I provided the leadership during the creation of four new programs-of-record in the Presidential Budget. To introduce a new technology, capability, or product I would:
- First understand the current capabilities and programs of record
- Understand any new or upcoming requirements
- Understand the customer and their challenges, issues, desires
- Understand the competition
- Understand the areas where the Users have unmet needs or desires
- Attack any underserved areas or areas where the new technology can fulfill requirements
- If a requirement does not exist, then begin developing a new requirement
- Begin developing strong customer relationships
- Develop trust as a supplier
- Work the Org Chart from the Top Down and the Bottom Up to build customer sponsors
