Submarine Countermeasure Program

I was charged by the VP/GM to diversify the customer base and markets. I collaborated with my peer at Leidos, a major prime, and we identified an upcoming program as a match for our combined skills, a Submarine Countermeasure program. The new program involved a new customer, new market, and a technical stretch for both organizations. We began regular joint strategizing sessions and obtained $2M of internal R&D funds to develop prototypes. We then led the development of a successful proposal which won the contract. The contract includes $8M of engineering development funds. The production will last 15-20 years at $10M per year.
